Right, right quick

A very quick updated because I haven’t updated in nearly two months. There’s a reason for that, as well as why this is so very quick. It’s because of school. This semester of school has kept me so busy. I don’t even live on campus anymore and I swear I spend more time there than when I did. And then when I get back I usually have something to do, and a lot of it. Luckily the semester is nearly over, partial week of classes this week and then finals start Friday. Then next Thursday I’m done. My expected grades: I know that I’m going to get an A in immunology, I’ve kicked ass on all the tests and quizzes. I’m pretty sure I can expect a good grade on my vaccine proposal. I don’t even have to worry about the final in there really. Japanese I’m about 95% certain I’m getting a B in there, even though I have the oral and written final left in there. I was hoping for an A, but I B isn’t bad. O-chem I don’t care anymore, because I’m going to fail. I know I am. I hate the fact I’ll have to go through that shit again because I really hate the class, but hopefully next time I’ll get a competent professor like I had first semester. And Mycology…I’m about 80% certain I’ll pass, but at the highest with a C. I was hoping for a B at the beginning of the semester, but that wasn’t going to happen. The professor’s tests are completely ridiculous, he expects to know information much more in depth than what’s on the notes, and there is no book to refer to so it’s pretty much you should know perfectly because he says it once in lecture.

I turned 21 in November. Still haven’t had a drink. Was going to go when I was home for Thanksgiving break and have some sake at my birthday dinner, but I decided I’ll just wait until winter break because I used a birthday coupon for a free pizza for lunch.

I suppose last because I need to get back to studying, I have been raging over football. Much of my family thinks it’s weird how I’ve gotten into football. I haven’t really, I’ve just gotten into my school’s team. And we were doing so awesome in the beginning, but then we lost four straight. So we ended 7-5. But we still managed to qualify for a bowl with our great play in the beginning of the season, but not the coveted Rose Bowl that everyone was slowly setting their hopes on. Although we should have ended 10-2, but we didn’t. Why? Our damn kicker. The first loss we missed because he missed a field goal and an extra point, which would have had us win by 1. The second loss he screwed us out of if he initially had it blocked, but then after a flag and second attempt he just entirely missed is. The last game, the game which to most at the university was the most important game of the season because it was our rival school…in double overtime, we lost by 1, and lost the cup. You know why we lost by 1? About a minute and half left in the game, he kicked a ridiculously low extra point, had it blocked, and sent us into overtime. Made the field goal in overtime, but then in double OT he had his kick blocked again. And, in that red filled stadium filled with probably around 90,000 fans, and all the people watching on TV, he killed us. I raged so hard right after it happened. A lot of people did. So many people did that it was a trending topic worldwide on Twitter. But I literally fell to the ground and nearly started crying. He better get better by the bowl game, that’s all I can say.

All I have time for now. Probably won’t update until sometime during winter break in a couple weeks. BTW, I chose the icon because I’ve been really craving a burger for months and haven’t had one.

And so hell continues

First, a quick look at what this week was, and what next week will be:
This week: Easy Monday, Tuesday had Japanese oral midterm, Wednesday full four hours of o-chem and all I did was prep for my group, didn’t even help them with this week’s experiment, Thursday mycology midterm, Friday a shitload of o-chem. And that’s only like one thing a day. There’s so much more. I have had very little time to myself this week. I shouldn’t even be writing this, I should be studying. I’m not going to the science day thing with astronomy club because I have to study for o-chem because the exam is next Friday and there’s SO MUCH to know, and I know NONE of it. And I have to do the assignments for chapter 17 and 18, and I need to get started on the review assignments. And I have to meet my vaccine proposal group on Sunday, so tomorrow I also have to work on finding some info to contribute to it. And of course study for the immunology exam which is coming up next Thursday. I’m not understanding the humoral adaptive system as well as I did the innate, so I’m going to try to at least get through the notes once this weekend and then go see the professor on Monday if I don’t get anything. I really should be paying more attention to o-chem, because I failed the first exam but got an A on the immunology exam, which I found totally justified my failing. However, that’s going to have to be the exam I drop. I need to pass this damn class. I hate it so much, I don’t care if it’s a good grade, I just want a passing grade in o-chem.

I’m kind of worried about the mycology exam I just took. I got a D on the last one, this one I studied more and took about twenty-minutes longer, yet I’m not feeling too good about it. The damn life cycles screwed me over, if anything.

Grr, I need to hug something fluffy. Too bad Rosco doesn’t like to be held and Izumi decided to pass gas whenever she lays on me, so I probably shouldn’t hug her or else I’d probably cause her to create a gas chamber resulting in my death.

Just an update I guess

Since I haven’t posted anything in half a month apparently. Damn, the month went by fast. This year is going by fast. That always happens when I have school, which is so weird because high school went by so slow. I’m already halfway done with the semester. Crazy.

So just some random stuffs. First, my kitties arrived. Last Sunday. I was so happy. I guess I’m still pretty happy they’re here, although Izumi is a complete attention whore (I’m slowly getting her out of that, but to the point where she’s still affectionate) and Rosco, who was never one for a lot of attention at home, has become a complete attention whore. They don’t let me sleep in the morning. I somehow always end up being forced awake a half hour before I plan to if not earlier. Initially Izumi wouldn’t leave me alone at night, but now she’s stopped. Rosco has started sleeping on the bed with me for most of the night. I wouldn’t mind if Izumi did, I just can’t be petting her all night. Also there is cat fur all over my furniture now, and one of them, I’m not sure which, started to put a hole in my loveseat which is barely a month and a half old. I made sure to buy then a scratching post, I used my own money to buy one for them, yet they don’t use it much. My guess is that Izumi doesn’t know how, and Rosco has forgotten. When Rosco was a kitten until about three we had a nice cat tree for him, Tuffy and K.C., but then it eventually was torn to shreds and a new one was never gotten. Along with that the house slowly started to fill with more and more cats, and with no scratching post they all started using the walls and furniture, both which look like complete crap. So at the house Izumi has always used the furniture or the wall as a scratching post, and it’s been awhile since Rosco has used one. I keep yelling at them when they try to use the couch, hopefully they’ll get it soon.

Hanazawa Kana’s voice is so cute!

And for that I use a Kobato icon, because I don’t have any icons of her other characters, or at least I didn’t see any, although I swear I have a couple Black Rock Shooter ones. Oh well. Seriously though, I wish I could take her voice and just hug it, it sounds so damn cute despite the fact she’s the same age as me. My voice is nowhere near being cute. This is all completely off topic though, so I’ll stop here.

Now to other stuff. Uh…I have stuff to say, but I can’t think of what order to put it in or anything. So let’s start with most recent. I guess someone finally moved in to the apartment next to mine. I know because he came to my door yesterday asking for money. I said I had none, like I’m going to give my money to some random dude. I wasn’t paying much attention, but the guy kind of looks like a creeper. But good news (I guess?) is that he’s kind of small, shorter than me I’m pretty sure, so if a situation ever came when I’d need to I could easily kick his ass. But I’m sure that’ll never happen…a pity really.

Correction: a LONG LONG year.

I have a ton of stuff to do within between right now and my first class is tomorrow, so with sleep I have about four, maybe five hours to do all that. So I’ll make this short. Normally I wouldn’t do two posts in two days like this, but the year just keeps getting better.

Get to class. Nearly missed the bus because I forgot to fill up my water bottle last night, but I remembered it this year and since I rode my bike over to the stop(homeless dude free this time) I managed to get it. I got to class, sat there for a bit, then mycology started. The professor is a freaking bore. I’m pretty sure he’s just at the university for his research.

It’s going to be a LONG year

Yeah…where to begin?

Let’s begin with the apartment. Well, turns out that that exterminator didn’t know what the hell they were doing, because when we began moving the big stuff in Saturday we went around the edges of the room with bug spray, and they came running out. One even nearly went into my brand new couch, but my aunt caught it. And then the next day of course there’s more, I even found a few in my room. Honestly, this apartment thing had me crying last night. I was just so sick of having to deal with all this shit, and so pissed that the stupid apartment complex showed such a nice apartment to me when I was looking only for me to be given this piece of crap. I can’t even open the door regularly. To unlock the screen door from the outside I need to push in first then turn the lock, and the regular door just doesn’t like opening without some force behind it. And yesterday, after my mom sprayed the cabinets (is that the right word? For some reason I feel like it isn’t) and wiped all the bugs that were in there, she laid down some shelf lining and put the little bit of food I got in them. Then she told me to wash the dishes and such so they could be put away. I attempted to start with my silverware. Well, I didn’t even get through that, before the entire faucet came flying off and water went everywhere. My mom screwed it back on, but it came off again. So I ended up doing the silverware in the kitchen sink, and I had to do each individually because I don’t have a stopper for it. Today, although I was just going to wait until tomorrow because I was so tired, I went to the office and told them all of this. I mainly decided to do it today because I made my pot pie, was going into the extra storage closet to get a plate and I see a roach on the wall. Killed that sucker, then grabbed my keys and went up to the office, even missing the beginning of The Office and holding off on eating to do so. I guess tomorrow they’ll come fix the faucet when I’m at school, and she said she’d call an exterminator, although I don’t know when. She kept asking if it was ants, and I kept telling her no. If it was ants I could take care of them, there have been issues with ants a few times at home, they’re pretty easy to get rid of. And I have to go back in tomorrow, although I think they’ll be closed by time I get back from class, to pick up new keys, because my mailbox key won’t work and my other key won’t open up the laundry room.

The month is almost up. I have four more days of class and then I have 6 more units of A added to my GPA. Yet today has been a crappy day. And life in general has not had me too happy lately.

My roommate talks quite loud when she’s talking to her sister, and she’s talking about the AIMS testing. And talking about how her sister and cousin had the same prompt or something, and then she said “They’re the same nationwide.” Yeah, there’s kind of an issue with that statement. AIMS isn’t a nationwide thing, it’s something that Arizona is forced to do because the government wanted to let slightly fewer dumbasses out of school with a high school diploma.

So much time, yet so little

Finally, break is over. I shouldn’t be saying that, yet I am. Normally I wouldn’t want break to end, but these last few days have been…I’ll say tiring, to say the least. Family decided to go to California from Wednesday to Saturday. And what better way to start it off than getting two hours of sleep, departing by car to San Diego at 2 in the morning, then getting to the zoo and walking all over the damn thing multiple times with just those two hours of sleep and an apple fritter for energy, all the while as the temperature is slowly rising so that by the afternoon you feel as if you have heat stroke, even though it isn’t all that hot? And then getting to the hotel that is actually a lot crappier than expected, hanging around there for a few hours (no sleeping involved, just watching other people sleep) then going to dinner and then finally a few hours after dinner going to bed? Dinner wasn’t actually that bad. We couldn’t find anything good to order in, so we decided (and by we I mean my mother, father and I. My brother was being too lazy to get up and go to eat with us) to try Applebee’s, since the GPS said it was close. Well we didn’t end up going to Applebee’s. I’m not actually sure where it was, I didn’t see it. We did however end up going to Mimi’s Cafe, which wasn’t all too bad. I was having trouble deciding what I wanted, but I eventually just got some chicken sandwich. I forget what it was called, but it was big. And since my mom got the special where you get an appetizer, entree and dessert she gave me her apple crisp, which I ate even though I was nearly stuffed. I definitely was when I finished. And although I wanted to go to bed then I needed to let my food digest some. Despite the crappiness of the day the zoo was rather nice. We were there a bit before it opened so we were one of the first in. So did the sky ride thing, I forget what it’s called at the moment, and then we walked around once to the other side of the zoo by the ride. And somehow we managed to get completely to the beginning again from the far side while looking for the pandas, which were on the far side where we had initially been after the sky ride thing. So we walked back that way, and saw the pandas, then ate lunch. It was pretty yummy. The only problem with the zoo I had (other than the huge hills it was built on, but can’t blame nature) was that there were no llamas. Yes, you read correctly. No llamas. I couldn’t believe it. I love llamas, but they had none. They had something that is a descendant of ancient llamas, but no actual llamas.

I just watched episode 10 of Sora No Woto and…I’m not sure if I like where it may possibly be going, if my speculation is correct. FYI, this post is going to be containing SPOILERS, so if you haven’t watched up to episode 10 of Sora No Woto and you don’t want to know what’s up, then don’t read the rest of this paragraph. So…I’m really bummed that Rio left. She was my favorite character! I found the end to be sad, with her passing her trumpet to Kanata as Iliya had done to her. The question is why did Rio leave, after saying how she had ran and now she knew she couldn’t stay in Seize and had to perform her duty? Well, I’m pretty sure it’s because she’s the princess of the country. This is due to many facts: first, Kanata kept connecting her face and facial expressions to that of Iliya. Second, the whole telling the story to Jacott about her life and how it was similar. Then there was her telling the story to Kanata when they were walking about how her half sister would come to visit her sometimes, and then flashbacks to Iliya. And I think the last was in the store when the shop owner and some guy were talking about how there was one more princess, but she was illegitimate and then Rio walked into the store. So I think that’s all pretty good evidence to speculate that Rio is a princess, although an illegitimate one. Then there’s what’s worrying me. Kureha was telling Kanata about how Iliya was supposed to have been married to the prince of Rome so that there would be peace between the two nations (because apparently that’s who they’re currently at war with, and the Roman forces are starting to move after I’m assuming an unsuccessful treaty agreement) and that she would be his third wife. But then she ended up drying saving a child from a river. What I’m worried about is that Rio, since she was walking about how she has to fulfill her duty, is going to take on responsibility as the nation’s princess and be married off to the Roman prince. Because that would bug me like crazy, Rio can’t do that! She’s too awesome to not be with all the girls, and definitely too awesome to be married off for peace and never to be seen again. I hope she returns, I really do. It’s partly because she’s my favorite character and I hate when my favorite character ends up leaving, and partly because the 1211th just isn’t the same without her.
