I’m nothing much, just a 22 year old senior in college pursuing a degree in microbiology (with a minor in Japanese). I can speak Japanese rather decently, although I still struggle with reading/writing because I’m not too great with kanji. I was originally a pre-pharmacy major, but it was pretty clear I wasn’t overly happy going down that path because I was doing horrible in classes and eventually got dropped from the program. That was probably the best thing that ever happened to me, because it made me switch to microbiology, which I found interesting after taking the one gen micro class required for pre-pharmacy. Since then I’ve just fallen in love with the subject on a completely different level, and let me say I was the biggest germaphob you’ve ever met when I was in high school. Now I see the beauty of bacteria, viruses, the immune system, not so much parasites and fungi, but yeah. I’ve developed what may be considered an unhealthy obsession with college basketball, especially for my Wildcats (no, not Kentucky or K-State or whoever the hell else is the Wildcats. I bleed red and blue, Bear Down bitches!). I’d have to say my favorite position is point guard, although Arizona hasn’t been having the best luck with PGs as of recent. I also enjoy anime and manga. My favorite of both if Fullmetal Alchemist. Anyone who dislikes it…I’ll just go ahead and say it, there’s something wrong with you. It’s so perfect a story that it’s scary. Oh, and Edward Elric is my husband, so everyone else hands off. I have others I enjoy as well, but they needn’t be mentioned right now. Japanese stuff isn’t the only things I like. I’m a fan of superheroes, mostly a Marvel fan but I’m starting to get into DC. Young Justice is a really good show I’ve been able to get into. And of course, I’m a huge ATLA fan and love LoK thus far. My favorite animal in the entire world, no, universe, is the llama. They’re just so…hnnng, I cannot even begin to describe the awesomeness of llamas. Just go and pet one and you will see for yourself. One day I’m hoping to own a couple of llamas. Speaking of owning animals, I have pets. My personal two that live with me are my two cats. There’s Rosco, a Russian Blue who is closing in on ten years and still going strong. Then there’s Izumi, a large eared (I try not to speak about it, she can hear for miles with those things), blue eyes, white kitty who is about two years old. She’s my baby girl, and she tends to be very vocal with me. My family also has a dog, and then a bajillion cats. I lie not about that number. |
