| December sucks |

I went to bed around midnight, I guess it was technically Christmas by then, and around 3 I woke up rolling around in my bed. I was freezing cold, and if I completely wrapped myself up in my blankets I’d get burning hot instantly. Then just before 4 I ran out of bed to the bathroom and threw up. That was just the beginning, I was throwing up for five hours. Then I went over to my parents’ house, slowly unwrapped most of my presents (my brother had to unwrap some of them for me, because I barely had any strength), then I went to my room to try to rest. That didn’t work well, because my room felt freezing to me. I went out into the living room and it was freezing out there too, to me at least. My dad gave me some Advil and I eventually managed to fall asleep for a few hours. When I woke up the chills were gone and instead I was sweating like crazy. I was debating whether or not I should even go to my aunt’s with the rest of my family, and in the end I did because I didn’t want to be alone in case I got ridiculously sick again. We drove to her house, puke bucket nearby for me, then I instantly went to my aunt’s room and laid down, then fell asleep for a few more hours. By time I woke up almost everyone had already left. We left shortly after and then I laid on the couch for awhile but didn’t sleep. Then around 10 I took some more Advil and eventually managed to fall asleep. The next day I wasn’t 100%, but I was fairly better. Still not enough to risk eating much though, so that sucked. Oh, and December also sucks ass because of the stupid weather. Yeah, no crazy snow here, but I missed the eclipse. The lunar eclipse on the winter solstice, the one that only happens about every 400 years, I missed it because suddenly the stupid clouds wanted to come in after months of none. |

First off, a mistake for it to be dubbed. Like with all cutesy anime, when it’s dubbed it just doesn’t come out right. American VA’s can’t do cutesy. Second it was a mistake for me to look it up. The voices bug me the most. I try not to be a snob when it comes to that but I can’t help it here. Yui’s voice is horrible, in no way does she seem like the air-head like Aki Toyosaki made her. Ritsu’s voice is WAY too girly. The point of her is that she’s a very tomboyish girl, and she isn’t as tomboyish and rowdy as Satomi Satou made her. Mio’s voice…when I first heard they were going to make a dub I knew I would hate Mio’s voice, no matter the VA. The only true Mio is that voiced by Youko Hikasa, one of the most amazing seiyuu in my opinion. Then there was Mugi…I should have figured that it wouldn’t be good. Minako Kotobuki has a somewhat unique voice that she made to fit Mugi very well, and it’s just not possible to duplicate it, or even come close to it. There was also a short appearance by Ui, whose voice just wasn’t to my liking. I can’t really explain in words how it wasn’t right, and then Sawako-sensei’s voice…I won’t ever know because I won’t keep watching it, but when it comes to her kickass rock voice it’s not going to be pretty. Nodoka, wasn’t a huge fan of, but probably the best of the dub. I fear for Azusa. I also hated how they pronounce the names. I know they can’t be exactly like Japanese, but would it hurt to put the emphasis on the correct syllable? However, what I will give them credit for is leaving some Japanese aspects to it. For example, using family name then given name to introduce themselves, and they also kept a lot of the honorifics in, although it sounds a bit awkward. Actually, I think once finals are over if they’ve gotten that far and I can find it I’ll go to the episode of where they sing, because since it’s Bandai who licensed it (along with others such as Haruhi), I have a bad feeling they decided to dub the songs (such as in Haruhi), and I know what won’t be pretty. But yes. Almost the entire time I was cringing. Tags: faildub, k-on |

I turned 21 in November. Still haven’t had a drink. Was going to go when I was home for Thanksgiving break and have some sake at my birthday dinner, but I decided I’ll just wait until winter break because I used a birthday coupon for a free pizza for lunch. I suppose last because I need to get back to studying, I have been raging over football. Much of my family thinks it’s weird how I’ve gotten into football. I haven’t really, I’ve just gotten into my school’s team. And we were doing so awesome in the beginning, but then we lost four straight. So we ended 7-5. But we still managed to qualify for a bowl with our great play in the beginning of the season, but not the coveted Rose Bowl that everyone was slowly setting their hopes on. Although we should have ended 10-2, but we didn’t. Why? Our damn kicker. The first loss we missed because he missed a field goal and an extra point, which would have had us win by 1. The second loss he screwed us out of if he initially had it blocked, but then after a flag and second attempt he just entirely missed is. The last game, the game which to most at the university was the most important game of the season because it was our rival school…in double overtime, we lost by 1, and lost the cup. You know why we lost by 1? About a minute and half left in the game, he kicked a ridiculously low extra point, had it blocked, and sent us into overtime. Made the field goal in overtime, but then in double OT he had his kick blocked again. And, in that red filled stadium filled with probably around 90,000 fans, and all the people watching on TV, he killed us. I raged so hard right after it happened. A lot of people did. So many people did that it was a trending topic worldwide on Twitter. But I literally fell to the ground and nearly started crying. He better get better by the bowl game, that’s all I can say. All I have time for now. Probably won’t update until sometime during winter break in a couple weeks. BTW, I chose the icon because I’ve been really craving a burger for months and haven’t had one.
