Awesome weekend

Seriously, if I didn’t have a test and oral exam tomorrow, and a hard super important test and practical on Wednesday, this weekend could have been enjoyed to the greatest extent. Yesterday started off a bit blah, because my parents ended up getting here an hour later than they expected, and then we ended up driving around the city for 45 minutes because my dad insisted on using the MapQuest directions he printed off, but we couldn’t find the road we were looking for. Eventually my mom just went on the Freeway. And we got there a bit late, but eventually we made it to the Renaissance Festival, with enough time to walk back to the jousting arena for the fist joust. Our knight was cool, his colors were awesome. Although I couldn’t get over the master of arm’s horse. Last year it was a big beautiful black horse, but this year it was white. What I loved about it though was that whenever she was just kind of in place and not riding around, her horse would dance around. It was awesome. And then, unlike the other years, when the queen/king came out the horse bowed. After that we hurried our way back to the entrance, because I wanted to see the gypsy violinist. I felt bad because we were the only ones who were actually there the entire time listening to her and not just sitting there to eat lunch (although we were eating lunch, I had a broccoli cheese soup bread bowl). I actually ended up buying one of her CD’s, I liked the music. And then there was a quick walk over to Three Guys and a Bunch of Drums. I’m pretty sure it was a new show this year, but if it wasn’t I don’t know why I’ve never gone to see it before. HILARIOUS. It was so funny, although they did some awesome stuff with the drums (and triangles) too. Then…it was walking around for a bit, buying a dragon candle and then back to jousting for the second joust. And we watched that, and then…I don’t think we watched another show, just walked around some (went to look at the hawks in the cages), went to the petting zoo and then back to jousting. And then we went home. The weather was absolutely perfect. I was worried it was going to rain and my parents would wimp out, but it didn’t. Until the last jousting it was cloudy all day and nice and cool, which was awesome. Even this time of the year it gets WAY to warm there with the sun out.

Wow, I kind of feel like a good student

Seriously, I actually studied today. And it totally isn’t the day before the test. Now, I really REALLY had to force myself, because I really don’t like physio, but I somehow managed to get in about four hours worth of studying on physio alone today. And I actually understood what I was going over, which also means that in those lectures where I was still half asleep the information did actually make it to my brain, it just didn’t register completely with my conscious self. Although I didn’t get as far as I wanted. I wanted to get up through the notes before the axial skeleton, but I was one set short. Why? Because I got on to watch a couple episodes of Rosario + Vampire Capu2 and I ended up finishing the entire thing today. After I finished the first season yesterday. And so my notes have been left untouched for like the past five or so hours. But I did do all my Japanese homework that’s due tomorrow, so I don’t have to worry about rushing to finish that tomorrow. However, I didn’t get to any o-chem. I wanted to work on the worksheet and then go over the quiz to see if I could find the answers I got wrong on my own and correct them, but that didn’t happen. And I wanted to go in tomorrow to get help from the preceptor. I still could, but I’d probably look really stupid, because some of the problems I got wrong were probably easy, but I tried it before he had finished lecturing on all of chapter 4, thus I was missing some information. I also need to try chapter 9 quiz, probably tomorrow, even though we haven’t gotten any info for chapter 9 yet. I know I’m going to need help from preceptors though, and if I wait until I get all the info it’ll be too late to get help before the quizzes close. And then studying for my Japanese chapter 3 test on Thursday. I…I’m not sure about it, I really am getting things, but at my own pace. Seriously, if I had the money I’d just like go to Japan for a year and I’d probably get a decent hold of the language. That would actually be really cool to do, maybe I’ll consider it once I’m fluent enough in the language I could survive without looking like some American idiot.

Kay, late now. Need to go to bed very soon. And need to see if the guy who gets me stuff from Japan can get me Stereopony’s CDs. But that shall wait, because I need to make a list of everything. I’d guess it’s starting to get time of the year when yukata would probably be easier to find.

The boredom!

So…BORED! I don’t know how long it has been since I’ve been this bored!! I don’t know what to do right now. I was good and did my Japanese stuff like way early. Okay, not way early, but last time I did it on Sunday afternoon, this time I did it Friday evening. I think that’s a lot earlier. And then I’ve been playing Pokemon Yellow for a few hours tonight. I was wondering why the hell Sabrina’s pokemon were all at level 50 when I didn’t have a single one at level 40 yet, thus being unable to see how I was expected to beat her. Well, I then figured out after finally beating her (on the sixth try) that it’s because I forgot to go to Fuchsia City first and fight Koga. Not my fault, they make Saffron City right next to Celadon, where I battled right before. But oh well, I have that MarshBadge. Now I need to go fight Koga for the SoulBadge, and then I’ll try to remember where you get the Surf HM from and go for badge seven.

Damn mornings

It’s actually not morning, it’s almost ten at night, and I’m going to go to bed very soon, because I’m tired. Because it’s yet another one of my 8AM days. And I was good, I got up even though it’s a holiday and most schools have it off except universities. I went to class even though the professor wasn’t there today nor is she going to be there Wednesday and so a grad student was lecturing. I wasn’t like half 1/3 of the class (possible more? It was pretty empty) who decided to skip. I went. I didn’t fall asleep in class. Then I went to another class. And I had a small break, during which I studied for Japanese. And then I went to class again, and sat by these really annoying people who don’t know how to shut the hell up. And then I went to Japanese, and then I came back to the dorm. And I only messed around on the computer for like 15 minutes. And then I played Wii for like ten minutes. And then I actually got started on school stuff. I tried the chapter four quiz for o-chem, even though we haven’t gone over all the stuff. And hopefully I can find the motivation to go in Wednesday to the TA hours so I can get the answers to the quiz. And then I watched one episode of anime, and then ate dinner (which I will get to later) and then I took a small break and played Pokemon Yellow, and then I got bored with that and finished reading volume 17 of FMA because I’ve been on it for weeks, and then I started working on my lab report, and I finished it. I usually don’t even start lab reports until the night before, but I’m all done with this one and it isn’t due until Thursday morning. I even got started on my second one and hopefully will find the motivation to finish it this week so I can get it done with.

So…I just finished watching episode 1 of the FMA: B dub. And…I guess it wasn’t too bad. Although before the episode even started I shuddered, because they cut the damn OP, and the ED as well. I love the OP. It’s like the best OP of both the series. And the animation is amazing. They very poorly cut out some animation that hints towards later in the show, how stupid. And jeez was it poorly cut. The ED wasn’t as obvious, unless you’ve seen the full one. And I don’t even get why they did it. For the first series they played the full OP (although they only used two of the OPs when it aired on TV). They better not try to pull that crap later on.

So apparently the best diet is…

Apparently the best diet (both by means of success and deliciousness) is to pig out like crazy on various chocolate and foods with chocolate on them. I don’t even know how, but I’ve lost six pounds in the last week. And that was after I went home this weekend and had chocolate covered cheesecake, two big pieces of fudge, a chocolate covered funnel cake, strawberry and chocolate crepe, a root beer and a root beer slush. Oh, and like half of a buffalo chicken pizza. Along with a root beer. I was worried about gaining a pound or two over the weekend, but apparently that was not the case. Very strange indeed.

ZOMG?!?!?

Note: The following will not make any sense unless you’ve read chapter 104.

I think someone needs to send out a SODF, save our distressed fans. This is one fangirl who shall be in a pit of anxiousness and despair until next month’s chapter of FMA. If you’ve read the latest chapter, you’d know. I never thought it would happen, I didn’t think he’d do it, but he did. And…I don’t even know how to put it into words. I read it this morning and still can’t figure out how to. It was just so…well, it was unexpected, but everyone knew that it was probably coming. I just really hope it can reversed. No, it has to be reversed! There’s no way…I mean, Riza, Scar, and Mei, plus the five sacrifices, are all in the big black ball. And then Lan Fan in unaccounted for, but considering the role she’s played in the story and the fact that she wasn’t shown, I have a feeling she’s going to be popping up at some point, possibly to do some super team up with Greed!Ling. Of course, they’re probably going to have to deal with Bradley and Pride. I’m doubtful Riza will be doing anything too impressive, considering her wound isn’t completely healed…but Scar, I have a feeling he’s going to do something big. And at this point in time I just don’t know how it’s going to end. I’ve always had theories, but after this I’m throwing everyone out. I never thought it would get that far. Although I’m going to have hope. It’s really just a matter of getting them back, since a person is made up of body, mind, and soul. Everyone still has the two, and for the time being they’re good. No no no, I don’t see Arakawa going down this route, I just don’t.

GAH! Olivier!! YOU MUST LIVE!!!

Blah, I have no clue anymore. The start of this week I was so busy, working to get all the studying in for physio and Japanese Pop Culture, because I have the tests back to back tomorrow. But physio…I think I wasted a few hours of my time on physio. I was reading through the book, and stopped. Not even worth my time. Everything I was reading was all stuff I learned in gen bio and gen chem. Yet the professor kept saying how the concepts would be difficult to understand. Not so much when you’ve spent the last year and a half learning it, but oh well. I’m just going to go over the slides and the few notes I wrote down and that’ll be it for physio. For Japanese Pop Culture I’m going to look through my notebook and hope that the notes I took were good enough to get me through the test. He said at the beginning of the course that writing just what he wrote wouldn’t cover everything, so I’ve been writing other stuff as well. I feel as if maybe I should have taken notes from the readings as well. Oh well, I just need to not bomb it. Really I want to get at least a B, although wouldn’t an A be nice. I’ve always counted on A’s in my gen ed stuff to keep my GPA somewhat decent.

And then I have two classes after that, and my weekend begins! I’m going home! I wasn’t planning on going back home until spring break, but this weekend is the Chocolate Affaire, and I was so depressed when I thought I’d have to miss it, so my parents are coming down to get me. Yay, I get to eat yummy chocolate!!

And then after that, the rest of my weekend will be filled will studying for o-chem, maybe a little Japanese. My original plan this weekend was the study for o-chem and Japanese, and then get way ahead on most of my homework/reaction papers/reading/pre-lab stuff. I can still work on it some though. I was also going to try to start another anime (even though that’s the last thing I need right now) but that probably won’t happen. I’ll just watch episode five of Dance in the Vampire Bund when it comes out, along with Durarara! and Ookami Kakushi.
