So I got an email today about priority registration for spring 2010 semester. And naturally I had to try and plan my schedule out. And I did, and I like it. I’d be done by 2 every day, although my mornings would be really busy, like starting at 8 on most days and having 3 or 4 hour blocks of classes. Hopefully I’ll be able to get what I want since I get to register as a sophomore this year. Of course, I probably won’t, I’m sure something is going to screw it up and I’ll have to struggle to fit other stuff in between my sciences (those are the first things I always go for). But if it goes as planned I’ll get physiology and lab, organic chemistry and lab, Japanese, and then Popular Culture in Japan. It wouldn’t kill me to not get the Popular Culture, but I really want to take Japanese (although I could substitute Russian, I should check on that as a backup) and need psio and o-chem. And then I even possibly planned for summer, I’ll take the economics class I need (if they have it) and another calculus class at community college. I don’t think I’m going to take two courses for one summer session, because the workload is way too much. I was doing six hours of class a day, four day a week, then going home and doing homework almost until I went to bed. I can’t really do that this summer because I need to get some hours of experience in at a pharmacy. I need fifty hours, and have none yet. Plus community service, bother of which I could start over winter break and probably will. Although community service won’t be as difficult, since if I participate in club activities it’ll get in a decent amount.

But then I got bored (despite the fact I have a lab report that’s barely started due tomorrow morning) and decided to see what the courses are for actual pharmacy school. Wow is all I can say. There’s a couple 400 level classes the first year, but other than that it’s all 800 level courses. Going to be intense.

So…I have like ten minutes until I leave for my next class. Normally I leave a half hour before class starts, but seats are assigned in my next class so I don’t have to worry about getting there early to get a good seat. It sucks, I totally wanted to like come back to the dorm and take a nap, because I wasn’t actually awake until around 10:30 today. I woke up at 6:40, because I had chem lab at 8, but I was pretty much just a lifeless capsule for a couple hours. Even then I didn’t do much, mostly because I had no clue what the hell I was supposed to be doing. Lab was hard, luckily it’s the hardest of the semester. But yeah, my group had no clue what to do so we kind of just BSed it, and now I don’t really have a clue what to do on the report. Maybe I’ll have someone help me. I didn’t get out of there until 11:20, and then I was considering just staying on the main part of campus, but I didn’t want to deal with the huge lines in the food court to get lunch, so I biked back to the dorm and barely made it. And I didn’t have time to take a nap. I purposely set my alarm today for 6:30 so I could go across the street and get a bagel. But then I thought when I was getting dressed it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to try and cross a busy street in my near comatose state. So that didn’t happen, so I had to have Pop Tarts and I had to force myself to eat them because I really didn’t want them. But then I didn’t even finish them, and I was hungry like two hours into lab.

Oh, time seems to be going a bit fast. Well I don’t know what else to write because there isn’t much going on. My brother introduced me to Nightmare Revisited, which is the Nightmare Before Christmas songs covered by various people/bands. Sally’s Song is amazing, but that’s because Amy Lee is amazing. Marilyn Manson’s cover of This is Halloween is so creepy, but it’s awesome. And I don’t really like him. Nor do I like Korn, but their cover of Kidnap the Sandy Claws is awesome.

Blah. I update because it’s been like a week since I last did and yeah.

I have finished all the first tests of the semester. I’m kind of angry at myself, because I took my chem test this evening, and on one of the questions I worked the first part out, but then I completely forgot what equation to put it into to find the rate constant. But since it was multiple choice I put my best guess down, which really was a completely random guess. And there was only one question on free response I was completely sure about, but I’m sure I got more right than just that one. I at least got partial credit for the others.

I like it how I turn out to be right

I won’t go completely into detail about why the title is true, but I’ll talk about school related stuff, kind of. So it’s taking forever for chapter 99 and episode 23 to come out, and I told myself that my week was going to suck until I read/watched those two things respectively. Well, it turned out true. I can’t completely remember everything, I can’t really remember much before noon, or before my last class. Let’s see, the most recent thing is I missed the first pre-pharmacy club meeting. I had it written down on my board, and I remembered this afternoon between classes. I was going to write a note on my computer so I wouldn’t forget, but I figured I wouldn’t. But two hours after it ended it dawned upon me that I missed it. And I was pissed. But I blame it on laundry. Sad thing is even looked at the time on my phone right when it said five and didn’t remember. Yeah, the laundry. So I went up to do laundry since I have Astronomy Club meeting tomorrow after classes so I wouldn’t be able to do it until later(and apparently I’m too lazy to do it in the morning, which I did last year and it was pure bliss because I was the only one doing it at the time) and it was pretty full. There were two washers open so I put my laundry in, and went back after approximately 35 minutes, although it takes 38 minutes but I went early in case someone else needed to use the washer. Well I went in and it was stuck 10 minutes. So I went to check it, then pushed the cycle I wanted again like it said to. Five minutes later it was still at ten minutes, so I checked to make sure it was mine (I have no clue why I did that) and then pushed it again. And I stood there this time waiting and it was still at ten minuted. I had no clue what the hell was wrong, but after about twenty minutes in the laundry room I got it to work, so then I had to stand there and wait for the ten minutes. And by that time all the dryers were full, but luckily one was done so I just put the blanket that was in it on top and put my stuff in. Then I came back to the dorm, then went back up to get it. There was nine minutes left. I stood there for a couple minutes, but then I was just sick of being in the hot laundry room, so I stopped it with seven minutes left and came back and was done with it. Except when putting it away I noticed the one pair of underwear I had in there was missing. So now I’m slightly paranoid and thinking that the reason my laundry was stuck at 10 minutes was because someone went in and took them and then didn’t close the door correctly when they opened it back up. I have no other explanation for it. And it was a pair I like. Luckily I only threw one thing in there. I’m pissed though. And also when I was walking back down after getting my laundry in the dryer (it actually happened as I was walking out of the laundry room) my stupid flip flop broke. I just starting wearing them too, because my blue ones have been worn so much there is nearly a hole in the sole. I experienced how bad this is because I nearly burned my feet walking back to the dorm Friday afternoon. I think I’ll just keep wearing them anyway since my grey ones are done, since I ride my bike nearly all the time. I swear something happened with the bike too today but I just can’t remember.

Crap, my roommate is sick. She’s been throwing up all day, and then this evening she said she was better but she ended up throwing up again. I seriously hope she’s done, I do not need to get sick, especially vomiting. To be safe I took Lysol to the entire room when she went out for a bit. I really should do it again, she probably wouldn’t mind since I don’t want to get sick. I should talk to her about keeping the AC on as much as possible to, since it helps to keep bacteria count down. If only she’d learn to follow my lead of being a germaphob then this wouldn’t have happened to her. Whenever I get to class I always use antibacterial hand spray before messing with my stuff, because I have no clue who might have touched those door handles, and when I get back to the dorm I wash my hand very thoroughly before doing anything else. And then every now and then I take Lysol and antibacterial wipes to everything I can think of, usually just everything we both touch and then my keys and keyboard. Gah, I feel the need to spray right now!! But I will resist the urge.

So I’m writing my paper for one of my classes right now, and I thought three pages was going to take forever. Well, not so much. Because it’s a critical race autobiography, we’re supposed to use personal experience in it. Well, I just learned something. I can make a rant about personal experience and race go very far, possibly too far, and sound good in a paper. I’m at one page already and I’ve only done one paragraph. I could probably write another half page for that paragraph, but I’ll stop where I am. It can’t be more than three pages, which is stupid if you ask me. And I need to get two more sources into it. At first I didn’t think the class was going to be the best for me because it’s discussion, all you do in class is talk and discuss various aspects of race. Well, I suck at talking but then there are also these online discussions we have to post to once a week. And the two that I’ve done so far have been about three times as long as they need to be. I can’t talk and give my opinion, but when it comes to writing I can rant like no other. I’m sure that’s apparent from other posts here.

First I must say ow. Then I must say ew. Then I must say…grr. Because that about explains me right now.

First off, the…well, they all kind of go together. I’ll just get to the story. So I wasn’t planning on going home for the long weekend. I actually had figured out a decent schedule to get all my homework done for the week. But that didn’t happen. Because my mom decided I should come home, even though that wasn’t the plan, so she drove down to come get me on Saturday. So Saturday morning I spent doing a bit of homework and cleaning my dorm room, which I did a fairly throughout job of. And then they came, and I spent the afternoon on the drive home. And I managed to do a bit of homework but not much, and that was that for Saturday. And then Sunday was blah at first, but it got a bit better kind of. I dunno. But at the end of the day we went to the batting cages, and since my brother had his baseball bat and was using the baseball cages, I had the softball bat all to myself so I didn’t have to wait for him to go. Well, that kind of sucked in the end. Because when you keep going and going and going for like 45 minutes straight, you get really sore. And then in the morning it’s even worse. And then my afternoon, when you finally get back to school and have to climb the stairs to get to your dorm because your dorm has no elevator, then it’s REALLY bad. I had to climb up and down those things like 3 times. It was painful, the first time I had to hold onto the rail coming up because my leg felt to unstable. So yeah, I have a really sore left leg, sore shoulders, sore left arm, sore right forearm and a blister on my left thumb. But on the plus side we did get to stop to feed the donkeys and ostriches and deer on the way back. And the deer for once didn’t sneeze on my hand. And there were baby donkeys this time, so I fed them when they came near the gate. And a black donkey. They were all cute. And…I can’t think of what else to write at the moment. I should be trying to work on my water proposal for lab except I have no clue what to write about, although I’d really prefer to be playing Pokemon Blue right now. I totally took my cousin’s GameBoy Advance SP and her Blue game to play. I just totally kicked Lt. Surge’s butt. Now I know Diglett are useful, all I had to do was use dig once for two of his Pokemon and then twice for Raichu. And boom I win.

So I’m bored right now, so I’m going to blog. I actually should be doing my homework, especially working on my lab report since it’s due in two days and I have pretty much the abstract only done. Plus I need to read for microbiology and chem, probably should work on the chem homework, read for my stupid INDV, and probably should study for Italian because I have a quiz in two days. But I don’t want to. I already read a bit for micro, and did the online homework for Italian. And I even posted the stupid response thing I had to do for INDV, although I’m not sure if the post really was completely on the prompt. I think I might have ranted a bit, but that’s what I do. I rant. It’s fun. Is this a rant? I wouldn’t consider it one. Just a bunch of random thoughts. Yeah. That’s all it is. Random thoughts.
