Ha, yes, that is some word play I used for the title. Go me! But seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever been so close to throwing up as I was today. Yes, Friday, the horrid day of bio lab. Today I went in and I saw a stack of the metal trays in the back and I was so close to walking back out. Those stupid trays only mean one thing- we’re going to dissect something. And how right I was! We were talking about the heart today, kind of stupid how we can do an entire lab on the heart. But we had to cut open and look at pig hearts. When my group brought it over to where I was I started hacking. I didn’t touch it, as I never do with anything we do in there, and stayed at least a foot and a half away from it the entire time. Most of the time I didn’t even look at it, because just looking at it made my already unsettled stomach extremely queasy. It was so bad, I could smell it even after I left. I swear the stench was in my hair and clothes, so right after I got back from other class of the day, mythology, I jumped in the shower, washed my hair like crazy and scrubbed like it was nobody’s business. I wanted anything and everything of that to be off of me. And then because I didn’t plan on putting those clothes back on and didn’t want to waste other clothing I put on my pajamas. I even got fresh pajamas because I guess I felt as if I couldn’t wear the ones I’ve been wearing. So I’ve been in my pajamas since 1:30 and since I have no life I’m in for the day/night/whatever. Since I’m running low on lunch food I just had a bag of chips for lunch, and I’ll probably have soup for dinner. I was considering going over to Subway right after I got back to the dorm and get a foot long to eat for a couple days since it’s fairly cheap and I only have 8 bucks in cash to last me the next week. However, I couldn’t bear being in the clothes that I had worn to lab any longer than I already had, so I get soup. Woo hoo. Last night I had canned spaghetti, it was alright. I’d order a pizza with my debit card but I don’t like using it too often. Although a pizza can easily last me 3 or 4 days, eating it for lunch and dinner. I don’t think I’ll have to worry about dinner Monday because I should have a pre-pharm meeting and they always have food for us there.
